10-Day ‘Tiranga Yatra’ Across the Country; BJP Launches Nationwide Campaign Celebrating the Success of ‘Operation Sindoor’

With a clear and firm message about ‘Operation Sindoor’ and its future direction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on Monday came just two days after the India-Pakistan ceasefire, reassuring the citizens and also setting the tone for BJP’s nationwide campaign on the issue.

As part of this campaign, the BJP has launched the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ (Tricolour March), which will be held across the country for 10 days from May 13 to May 23. On the eve of this program, the party held its first press conference, stating unequivocally that India’s operation achieved its desired objective.

The ‘Tiranga Yatra’ will include rallies carrying the Indian national flag across various regions of the country. Prominent figures from different sections of society are expected to participate. According to BJP sources, the objective is to reach every citizen with the message of “PM Modi’s unwavering resolve, the bravery and commitment of the armed forces.”

As part of the national campaign, the program will also include bike rallies, public meetings, flag-hoisting events, and outreach programs in cities across India.

On Sunday night, a high-level meeting was held at BJP President J.P. Nadda’s residence, attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other top leaders. Sources suggest that in this meeting, the BJP finalized its next strategy related to ‘Operation Sindoor’.

The direction was clear: highlight the military’s success, but without sounding overly triumphant or self-congratulatory. The focus will instead be on promoting a strong and secure image of nationalism. Given the ongoing ceasefire, the focus of the campaign has shifted squarely to Prime Minister Modi, according to BJP insiders.

Sources also say that internal party discussions raised concerns about how to respond to comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding the ceasefire. The opposition, too, has become vocal over these remarks.
