A massive explosion shook Iran’s port city.
The explosion occurred in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, which is located more than 1,000 kilometers from the capital, Tehran. According to Iranian state media, at least 406 people have been reported injured. Disaster management official Mehrdad Hasan Zadeh stated that they are reaching the site and trying to rescue everyone from the explosion area.
Preliminary information suggests that several containers at the Shahid Rajaee Port exploded. Several videos related to the incident have already spread on social media, showing thick black smoke engulfing the entire area. It is known that containers are imported and exported through this port. Additionally, oil tanks and other petrochemical products are also imported and exported from here.
